That the death sentence
Shall be abolished in all cases except
Serious terrorist activities
Heartened even a yet-to-be-born.
Rider: There are exceptions
And dealt with on case to case basis.
If you are sure that foetus is a girl child
Execution shall be forthwith.
For the crime of giving birth to a girl
A mother cannot be absolved of her guilt.
If the desired be a young girl, adolescent or old lady
Death is imminent if they don’t cooperate.
If somebody marries her heartthrob
Heads must roll as prestige was at stake.
All are equal in dispensing this death penalty
No exceptions could be made on account of being a minor.
For reasons of national security
Even if it were a toddler
She is ineligible for mercy petition.
These prim girls are the most dreaded terrorists
Not falling under the purview of law or law commissions.
The neo Gandhians who plead
Abolishing death penalty in phased manner
Even for the hard-core terrorists
Give humanitarian sentence
To nip the foetal and natal girls
Secretly and silently.
One may condone and commute
Death sentences to international terrorists.
But these mothers who
Make milk out of their blood
Are criminals not fit for even appeal.
The Indian society is moving towards
Abolition of capital punishment, they say.
But, for bloody acts of hard-core terrorism
The female foetus can’t escape premature end.

ఎప్పటికీ ముద్దాయినే
.
ఉగ్రనేరాలకు తప్ప
ఇతరకేసులలో
మరణశిక్ష రద్దు అన్న వార్తతో
పుట్టని బిడ్డకి సైతం హర్షం కలిగింది.
గమనిక: చాలా కేసులకి
మినహాయింపులు ఉన్నాయిట
పుట్టేది ఆడబిడ్డ అని తెలిస్తే
తక్షణమే ఉరిశిక్ష అమలు
ఆడపిల్లకి జన్మనిచ్చిన నేరానికి
ఆ తల్లి మరణశిక్షనుండి తప్పించుకోలేదట.
ఇష్టపడ్డ బాలిక / యువతి/ పండు ముసలి
ఎవరైనా సహకరించకపోతే హత్యే
మనసుకి నచ్చినవాడిని మనువాడితే
పరువుకోసం తల తెగుతుందట.
ఈ మరణశిక్షల అమలులో అందరూ సమానమే
మైనరు అయినా కనికరం లేదు.
జాతీయభద్రతదృష్ట్యా
నెలల పసికందైనా
క్షమాబిక్షకు అనర్హురాలు.
చట్టాలకు, లా కమిషన్ ల పరిథికి రాని
మహోగ్రవాదులు బంగారు తల్లులు.
కరుడుగట్టిన నేరస్తులకు కూడా
దశలవారీగా మరణశిక్షను
రద్దు చేయాలని యోచిస్తున్న గాంధేయ వాదులు
కనుగుడ్డు తెరవని
పసిమొగ్గలనుపురిటిలోనే
రహస్యంగా చిదిమేయాలని
మానవతా తీర్పునిస్తున్నారు.
అంతర్జాతీయ ఉగ్రవాదులకైనా
క్షమాభిక్షపెట్టవచ్చు కాని
రక్తాన్ని స్తన్యంగా మార్చే అమ్మలు
అప్పీలుకుకూడా తావులేని ముద్దాయిలు.
మరణశిక్ష రద్దు దిశగా
భారత సమాజం అడుగులు వేస్తోందట
కానీ అత్యంత కరుడుగట్టిన నేరస్తులంటూ
ఆడకణానికి విఛ్చిత్తే తప్పదట.

Vikas Concept School లో ఉపాధ్యాయురాలిగా రకరకాల వయసు, నేపధ్యం గల పిల్లల ప్రవర్తనని దగ్గరగా పరిశీలించిన అనుభవంతో వ్రాసిన కొన్ని కథలు, “చిరుకానుక “ పేరిట త్వరలో తీసుకు రాబోతున్నారు. ఆమె వ్రాసిన ఇతర కథలు, కవితలూ ప్రముఖ పత్రికలూ, వెబ్ మేగజీన్లలో ప్రచురితమయ్యాయి.
భర్త ఉద్యోగరీత్యా ఆమె 2012 నుండి అమెరికాలో ఉంటున్నారు.
