Like a bear hiding in the Ebony vale

Desire smoulders in the bod.

People are off towards the glen

With weapons to drive it out.

… But, what about this bod?  

 

There are snares all around

… Ambushes galore.

Neither is it alarmed

Nor stirs.

It drives on its own or attacks.

But can never escape.

It is its wont to run away

For the desire of this body!

It won’t revolt!

It knows, it’s easy

As easy as a habitual courtesy

To hide within this skin.

ఒకప్పటి మాట

తునికొర్రెలో ఎలుగ్గొడ్డు దాక్కున్నట్టు

దేహంలో కోర్కె పడుకుంది

ఊరోళ్ళంతా కర్రలు పట్టుకుని

ఒర్రెవైపు పోతున్నారు ఎలుగ్గొడ్డును తరుముదామని

— మరి ఈ దేహం మాటేమిటి?

చుట్టూతా పన్నిన వలలే

వేసిన మాటులే

బెదరదు

కదలదు

తనను తనే పారదోలుతుంది, ఎదురుతిరుగుతుంది.

తప్పించుకొవడం ఎప్పటికీ కుదరదు.

పారిపోవడం

ఈ దేహంలోని కోర్కెకు అలవాటే!

ఎదురు తిరగదు

ఎదురు తిరగడం కన్నా

ఇలా దేహం లోనే దాక్కోవడం

అలవాటైన మర్యాదలాంటి సులువు.
