నీ దని చెప్పగల వస్తువునుండి నువ్వు దూరమై

ఎంత త్వరగా లయిస్తావో, అంత త్వరగా ఎదుగుతావు;

యవ్వనంలో ఉన్నపుడు నీ రక్తం పంచుకున్నదానిని

యవ్వనం నిష్క్రమించినప్పుడు “నా”దని ప్రకటించగలవు.

అందులో అందమూ, తెలివీ వెలిసి ప్రవర్థమానమౌతాయి;

అదే లేకుంటే, వయసూ, అవివేకమూ, అన్నీ అంతరించిపోతాయి.

అందరూ నీలాగే అనుకుంటే, కాలం నిలిచిపోతుంది.

అరవై సంవత్సరాలు తిరగకుండా ప్రపంచం ఉనికి కోల్పోతుంది.

ఎవరి ప్రతిరూపాలని ప్రకృతి పదిలపరచడానికి ఇచ్చగించదో అటువంటి

ఏ రూపురేఖలులేని మొరటు వాళ్ళని నిస్సంతుగా మరణించనీ;

చూడు, ప్రకృతి అనుగ్రహించినవాళ్ళని సమృద్ధిగా అనుగ్రహిస్తుంది;

ఉదారంగా ఇచ్చిన ఆ బహుమతిని అంత పదిలంగానూ కాపాడుకోవాలి;

నిన్ను తన ముద్రగా తీర్చిదిద్దింది, ఎందుకని? నువ్వు మరో

పది ప్రతిరూపాల్ని సృష్టిస్తావని, ఉన్నది హరింపజేస్తావని కాదు.
