Retreat people and their passions
Retreats a life or its memory…
But… the man bidding adieu
Witnesses none of them
Nor any of them survives for a souvenir.

ఎంతోకొంత కలవరం

అమ్మడాన్నీ అమ్ముడుపోవడాన్నీ
ఆగిన ఆ కాసిన్ని క్షణాల్లోనే
ఎన్నో కొన్ని అప్పగింతల్నీ
తప్పదు, ముగించుకోవాలి,
లోకాన్ని నమ్ముతూ నమ్మిస్తూ లేదా
నటిస్తూ

కళ్ళల్లో తేలే ఆశనిరాశల్నీ
కౌగిళ్ళలో నొక్కుకునే బాధల్నీ
అరుదుగా కొన్ని సంతోషాల్ని కూడా,
చూస్తూనే కదలాలి బండి, తప్పదు,
ఉద్వేగాలను గెలుస్తూ భరిస్తూ లేదా
వదిలేస్తూ

చెట్లు పుట్టలు వెనక్కి
మనుషులూ మమతలూ వెనక్కి
ఒక జీవితమో జ్ఞాపకమో వెనక్కి
వెళ్ళిపోయేవాడికి
ఏవీ కనపడవు చివరికి
ఇవేవీ మిగలవు గుర్తుకి.
