Like the sun worn out
Wandering for the whole day,
I reach out there almost baked
The cool breezy sea-shore, where
the twilight extends its brief reign of shadows.
On the horizon of my languished spirit
Then, all of a sudden,
A streak of orange flashes for a while.
A long desperate blue wave
Bursts into a shower of icy pearls
Breaking on the boulders coming in its way.
The cool breeze subdued to a zephyr
In the fading twilight over the currents
fans with its feathery touch of serenity.
On the trifling ripples of woolgathering
The soul relaxes for a while unmindfully.
The day seemed wasted away till then
Presents itself in a new perspective.

Ramaswamy Nagaraju
Sri Ramaswamy Nagaraju hails from Elagamdula, Karimnagar district of Telangana. A graduate Engineer of olden days, Sri Ramaswamy, after some 10 years’ stint in various capacities in India, he went abroad and worked in Nigeria, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, and Oman for over 25 years. He is a Green card holder and settled in US after retirement with his children.
He has 2 books published to his credit : Onamaalu(Telugu Free Verse) and Anudhvani(Translations). Another book of poetry is on the anvil.
Some of his translations into English appeared in the magazine Jayanti and an anthology “Ode to Frontline Formation”. He also wrote a few travelogues and book reviews.
సాంత్వన సాయంత్రం
. పగలంతా పయనించి అలసిన పడమటి సూర్యునిలా తప్త దేహాన్నై చేరుకుంటాను నేను
మునిమాపు నింగి నీడలు పరచుకున్న చల్లని ఛాయలసముద్ర తీరాలకు
శోషిల్లిన నా అంతరాకాశం లో అంతలోనే చటుక్కున ఏదో ఒక కెంజాయ రేఖ తళుక్కున మెరుస్తుంది
నైరాశ్య నీలి తరంగం ఒకటి అడ్డుపడ్డ బండరాళ్ళను ఢీకొని మంచు ముత్యాల జల్లయి కురుస్తుంది
సాయంసంధ్య లో సద్దు మణగిన సాగర తరంగాల మీది చల్ల గాలి సాంత్వన శైతల్య వీవన అవుతుంది
ఆలోచనల అలతిఅలతి అలల మీద అలవోక గా ఎడద ఒక క్షణం విశ్రమిస్తుంది.
వ్యర్థమై పోయిందనుకున్న దినం కొత్త అర్థమై స్ఫురిస్తుంది .
