on the jewellery adorning a neck
and on the borders of silver-laced saris?
First, captivate darkness…
one that’s very fat and robust;
Then, on its skin
make indentures with knife.
Be merciless!
Through those indents
tawny blood juts out
only to coagulate
under the cheeks,
under shoulders,
under the jewellery adorning a neck
and under the borders of silver-laced saris.
