అయితే, అతని ఇల్లుమాత్రం ఊర్లోనే ఉంది;

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Robert Frost
(March 26, 1874 – January 29, 1963)
American Poet.
With a seemingly simple narration and words, Frost essentially conveys the conflict between the things that a man wants for himself and the things he has to oblige or discharge, and the subtle ultimate message that man’s obligations take precedence over his personal pleasures.
[This is one of the early poems of Robert Frost. The poem was inspired by a real life incident. That was a very difficult winter in New Hampshire that year. Frost was returning home after an unsuccessful trip at the market. That he did not have enough to buy Christmas presents for his children, overwhelmed Frost with depression and he stopped his horse at a bend in the road in order to cry. After a few minutes, the horse shook the bells on its harness, and Frost was cheered enough to continue home. ]
