How Does the Country look after the elections were over?
It resembles an innocent girl who was summarily looted!
It looks like a crazy country girl who boards the train
Naively trusting the mischievous smiles of an intermediary.
How Does the Country look after the elections were over?
Much like the mountains of useless political pamphlets.
What happens after the elections are over?
It suddenly dawns upon us that our pantry was empty.
That we don’t have any means to living, nor a godfather,
That reason and order were absent in our choices becomes glaringly clear.
Be it a mosquito of our own house, or a leech of our neighbors,
that they live only by sucking our blood becomes obvious once more.
The very fact that we repeatedly get conned every five years
makes us cry endlessly.
We start hating ourselves.
We will be ashamed that we always get corrupt.
After the flags were folded, the camps were decamped,
and the crowning ceremony concluded,
we suddenly realize
that the bayonet was still aimed at us
and the vote we just cast has bitten us mercilessly.

ఎన్నికలైపోయిన తర్వాత దేశమంతా ఎలాగుంటుంది?
దగాపడిన ఒక ఆడకూతురిలా ఉంటుంది!
దొంగనవ్వుల బ్రోకర్ని నమ్మేసి అమాయకంగా
రైలెక్కిపోయిన పల్లెటూరి పిచ్చిపిల్లలాగా ఉంటుంది దేశం.
ఎన్నికలైపోయిన తర్వాత దేశమంతా ఎలాగుంటుంది?
చిరిగిపోయిన ప్రచారపత్రాల గుట్టలాగా ఉంటుంది.
ఎన్నికలైపోయిన తర్వాత ఏమౌతుంది?
మనకి భోజనం లేదని గుర్తొస్తుంది.
మనకి ఉపాధి లేదనీ, మనకి దిక్కూ దివాణం లేదని ,
మనకి తెరువూ, తీరూ లేదని మళ్ళీ గుర్తుకొస్తుంది.
మన ఇంటపుట్టిన దోమైనా, పరాయి ఇంట పుట్టిన జలగైనా
మన రక్తం పీల్చే బతుకుతాయని స్పష్టపడుతుంది.
తెలిసి తెలిసీ అయిదేళ్ళకొకసారి జీవితాంతం
మోసపోవడం గూర్చి ఏడుపొస్తుంది.
మన మీద మనకి అసహ్యం వేస్తుంది.
మన బుద్ధి గడ్డి తింటున్నాదని తెలిసి సిగ్గేస్తుంది.
ఎన్నికల పతాకాలు విప్పేసిన తర్వాత, గుడారాలు పీకేసిన తర్వాత,
పట్టాభిషేకమహోత్సవం ముగిసిన తర్వాత,
తుపాకీ ఇంకా మనకేసే గురిపెట్టి ఉందని తెలుస్తుంది.
మన ఓటే మనల్ని కాటేసిందని తెలుస్తుంది.
