ఏదో విందుకి వెళుతున్నట్టు ఇంకా చక్కగా కనిపిద్దామనీ, ఇంకా మంచిదుస్తులేసుకుందామనీ; ఇంకా సువాసనలద్దుకుని సుగంధం పూసుకునే నీ ప్రయత్నాల ఆంతర్యం తెలియకపోయినా ఊహిస్తున్నాను; కానీ, ఓ తరుణీ అన్నీ మనోహరంగానూ, యోగ్యంగానూ లేవు.
నిరాడంరతలోని సౌందర్యాన్ని తెలిపేలా ఒకసారి కనిపించు, ఒక చూపుచూడు ; ఈ అలంకరణలలోని ఆకర్షణ కంటే గాలికి స్వేచ్ఛగా ఎగిరే జుత్తూ, వదులుగా తేలియాడే దుస్తులలోని ప్రమత్త సౌందర్యం నా మనసు దోచుకుంటుంది. ఈ మెరుగులు దృష్టినే గాని మనసుని ఆకర్షించలేవు. .

Still to be neat, still to be drest,
As you were going to a feast;
Still to be powdered, still perfumed,—
Lady, it is to be presumed,
Though art’s hid causes are not found,
All is not sweet, all is not sound.
Give me a look, give me a face,
That makes simplicity a grace;
Robes loosely flowing, hair as free,—
