గుదిబండ తగిలించినట్టు కాళ్ళీడ్చింది కాలం;

ఆమె వెంట ఉన్నప్పుడు పాటలోనూ వేదనలేదు

ఏ రోజూ విసుగు కలగలేదు.

ఓ అసూయాగ్రస్త కాలమా! నీ విధి తిరగరాయి;

నీ నడకని మరింత నెమ్మది చెయ్యి,

ఎంత కష్టపడాలో పడు, ఎంత దోచుకుంటావో దోచుకో

ఆమె పక్కన ఉన్నప్పుడు క్షణాలనన్నిటినీ.
