Some acquaintances are such!

Furnishing wings

you did not fancy in your wildest dreams

they bid you up suddenly

pitting against gushing winds.

.

If you could somehow manage

to drop down safely, fine!

You can still breathe life

even if your body is battered.

.

But if you continue your assay

for fun or in frolic

that’s it!

Your ordeals and your odyssey

commence instantly.

.

The sky continues to elude eternally,

nor life runs smoothly on the land;

one has to fear for the rain and wind,

and hie scared of an eagle or a snake.

.

One has to answer

the tree…  if you build a nest,

the hill … if you drink of a rill,

the field… if you glean few grains,

and the wind.. if you molt.

.

Even you plead innocence,

say you know nothing but flying,

or pray flying is imperative for your living,

you have to apologize.

.

Speaking the language of the flowers,

crooning in the voice of dove

or talking in childy morpheme

is not what you need to learn,

but to pretend as any human being does.

.

Crying wild and flying off  to unknown shores

with a freedom of no consequence,

you have to answer

the tree, the field, the rill, and the wind.

.

And, answer you must!

కొన్ని పరిచయాలంతే.

ఊహలోకూడా తెలియని రెక్కల్ని కట్టి

రివ్వున వీచేగాలిలో

ఒక్కసారిగా ఎగరేస్తాయ్.

తేరుకుని క్రిందపడ్డావో

సరేసరి!

దేహం విరిగినా ప్రాణం  మిగిలించుకోవచ్చు.

సరదాగానో, సంతోషంగానో,

కదలడం మొదలెట్టావో—

ఇక అంతే!

నీ ప్రయాణం, ప్రయాస

రెండూ మొదలవుతాయి.

ఆకాశం ఎప్పటికీ అందదు.

నేలమీదే జీవితం సాగదు.

గాలొచ్చినా, వానొచ్చినా భయపడాలి.

గద్దొచ్చినా, పామొచ్చినా దాక్కోవాలి.

కొమ్మపైన గూడుకడితే చెట్టుకీ

ఏటిలో నీళ్ళుతాగితే కొండకీ

గింజల్ని ఏరుకుంటే చేనుకీ

ఈకలు రాల్చుకుంటే గాలికీ

సమాధానం చెప్పి తీరాలి.

ఎగరడం తప్ప ఏమీ తెలీదన్నా

ఎగరడం నీ తప్పని అవసరమైనా

ఎగరకపోతే బతుకేలేదని తెలిసినా

సమాధానం చెప్పి తీరాలి.

పూవులభాషలో మాట్లాడడం

గువ్వలభాషలో పాడడం

పిల్లల భాషలో పదాలల్లడం కాదు

మనుషులభాషలో నటించడం నేర్చుకోవాలి.

ఎందుకూ పనికిరాని స్వేచ్ఛతో

ఎటో ఓ దిక్కుకి ఏడ్చుకుంటూ ఎగిరిపోతూ

చెట్టుకి, చేనుకి, ఏటికి, గాలికి

వీలైనా కాకున్నా వేగులకి, వేటగాళ్ళకి

సమాధానం చెప్పి తీరాలి.
