సంగీతానికి శృతిబద్ధమైన వాద్యపరికరాల్లారా, నను వీడిపొండి,

మైదానాల్లోని రమణీయమైన ఎగిసే నీటిబుగ్గలారా, నను వీడిపొండి

కొండకోనల్లోని మంత్రముగ్ధుణ్ణిచేసే తరు, లతాంతాల్లారా, నను వీడిపొండి, 

అనాదిగా వేణువునుండి వెలువడుతున్న రసధునులారా, నను విడిచి పొండి,

జనపదాల్లోని విందు, వినోద, జాతర సమూహాల్లారా, నను విడిచిపొండి,

రెల్లుపొదలలోదాగిన జంతు, పక్షి సమూహాల్లారా, నను వీడిపొండి,

శీతలతరుచాయలలో హాయిగా విశ్రమించే గోపకులారా, నను వీడిపొండి,

నాకిపుడు ఏ సూర్య చంద్రులూ ఉదయించి వెలుగులీనబోరు,

మనః శాంతి అంతరించి,చీకటి నాపై పెను పొరలా కమ్ముకుంది

నాకిక దిక్, దిగంతరసిమలలో ఎక్కడా సంతోషమన్నది కనరాదు,

నేను ఆశించినవీ, ప్రేమించినవీ నశిస్తే ఇక నశించనీ,

కానీ, ఓ నా దౌర్భాగ్యమా! నువ్వు మాత్రం నన్ను విడిచిపోకు, 

చివరకి ప్రాణాలు హరించి నాకు విముక్తి కలిగించగలిగేది నువ్వే!

Leave me, all flocks the reed beguiles along;

Sun, moon, stars, for me no longer glow;

Night would I have, to vail for vanished peace;

Let me from pole to pole no pleasure know;
