తను స్వారీ చెయ్యగల గుఱ్ఱాన్ని గాని,
నడపగలిగిన పడవనిగాని ఒక మనిషికి ఇచ్చిచూడు;
అతని హోదా, సంపద, బలం ఆరోగ్యం
నేలమీదైనా, నీటిమీదైనా చెక్కుచెదరవు.

ఒకమనిషికి వాడు తాగగలిగిన పొగాకుగొట్టాన్నిగాని,
వాడు చదవగలిగిన పుస్తకాన్నిగాని ఇచ్చి చూడు;
అతని గదిలో పేదరికం తాండవించవచ్చునేమోగాని,
అతని ఇల్లు ప్రశాంతతతో ఆనందంతో కళకళలాడుతుంది.

నేను ఇప్పుడు నిన్ను ప్రేమిస్తున్నట్టు, ప్రేయసీ,
ఒక పురుషుడికి అతనికి మనసైన స్త్రీని ఇచ్చి చూడు
అతని హృదయం అదృష్టస్పర్శతో ఉదాత్తమౌతుంది
