ఇక నీకు ఎండ బాధలేదు…

ఎంత గజగజ వణికించినా చలి బాధా లేదు;

నువ్వు ఈ లోకంలో వచ్చిన పని పూర్తిచేసుకుని

ఇంటిముఖం పట్టేవు, తగిన వేతనం అందుకున్నావు;

అందమైన, డబ్బున్న మగపిల్లలైనా ఆడపిల్లలైనా,

బీదా బిక్కీ అనాధల్లా ఒకరోజు మట్టిలో కలవవలసిందే.

గొప్ప అధికారుల కోపం నిను భయపెట్టదు;

నిరంకుశుల బాధల పరిధి దాటిపోయావు;

ఇక కూడూ గుడ్డా గురించి ఆలోచించే పని లేదు;

నీకు చెట్టుకీ, రెల్లుగడ్డికీ మధ్య భేదం లేదు;

మహరాజయినా, మేధావైనా, గొప్ప వైద్యుడైనా

అందరిదీ ఇదే వరస, చివరకి మట్టిలో కలవాల్సిందే.

ఇక నీకు మెరుపుల వల్ల భయం లేదు;

అందరూ భయపడే పిడుగన్నా భయం లేదు;

అపనిందలకీ, దూషణలకీఉ నువ్వు అతీతం;

నువ్వు నీ కష్టసుఖాలన్నీ అనుభవించేసేవు;

యువ ప్రేమికులూ, ఆమాటకొస్తే ప్రేమికులందరూ

నిన్ననుసరించవలసిందే, మట్టిలో కలవాల్సిందే.

నీ కిక ఏ మాంత్రికుడూ హానిచెయ్యలేడు;

ఏ మంత్రం నిన్ను సమ్మోహపరచలేదు;

నిన్ను ఏ ప్రేతాత్మలూ ఆవహించకుండుగాక!

నీకు ఏ అపకారమూ జరుగకుండు గాక!

Fear no more the heat o’ the sun,

        Nor the furious winter’s rages;

Thou thy worldly task hast done,

        Home art gone, and ta’en thy wages:

Golden lads and girls all must,

As chimney-sweepers, come to dust.

Fear no more the frown o’ the great;

        Thou art past the tyrant’s stroke;

Care no more to clothe and eat;

        To thee the reed is as the oak:

The Sceptre, Learning, Physic, must

All follow this, and come to dust.
