తెల్లని మంచుని కాషాయరంగులో ముంచుతూ
మూత్రాన్ని విసర్జిస్తుంది.

మీరిది చదువుతుంటే చాలామంది దేవతలు
వృక్షాలనల్లుకున్న లతలలో దాక్కుంటారు; గాజులామెరిసేకళ్లు
తరాల పచ్చని ఆకులని వీక్షిస్తుంటాయి.

మీరిది చదువుతుంటే
ఆ సముద్రం అలలు ఎగదోస్తుంటుంది
భీకరమైన తన అలల్ని
ఎగదోస్తుంటుంది.

As you read, a white bear leisurely

 pees, dyeing the snow

 saffron,

 and as you read, many gods

 lie among lianas: eyes of obsidian

 are watching the generations of leaves,

 and as you read

 the sea is turning its dark pages,

 turning

 its dark pages.
