బొటనవేలికి వేలాడుతున్న పతకాల్లా కనిపించాలి,
మాటాడకూడదు.

నాచు పట్టి, అరిగిపోయిన కిటికీగట్టు
నాపరాయి పలకలా నిశ్శబ్దంగా ఉండాలి.

ఎగురుతున్న పక్షులగుంపులా
కవిత మాటలకందకుండా ఉండాలి

చందమామ ఆకాశానికి ఎగబాకుతున్నట్టు
కవిత కాలాతీతంగా ఉండాలి.

విడిచిపెడుతున్నపుడు, రాతిరిలో చిక్కుబడ్ద చెట్ల
కొమ్మల్ని చంద్రుడు ఒకటొకటిగా వీడినట్టు వీడాలి

పూర్తయిన తర్వాత, హేమంతపు చంద్రుడు
విడిచిపెట్టే ఒక్కొక్క జ్ఞాపకంలా వదలాలి.

చందమామ ఆకాశానికి ఎగబాకుతున్నట్టు
కవిత కాలాతీతంగా ఉండాలి.

సత్యం కాకూడదు.

బాధాతప్తమైన దాని చరిత్రకి…
అది ఒక వాకిలి, ఒక చల్లని వీవన కావాలి.

ప్రేమకి సంకేతమైనపుడు 
వాలిన పరకల్లా, సంద్రం మీది వెలుగుల్లా ఉండాలి
