నిత్యం మత్తులో జోగండి
అంతే!
అది చాలా అవసరం!
భయంకరమైన కాలం బరువు
మీ భుజాలను పుండు చేసి
భూమికి కృంగదీసే
అనుభూతి పొందకుండా ఉండాలంటే
పూటుగా తాగి ఆ మత్తులో అలాగే ఉండండి!
ఏమిటి తాగాలి?
మదిరో, కవిత్వమో, శీలమో, ఏదో ఒకటి.
కానీ, తాగడం మాత్రం మరవొద్దు.
ఒక్కోసారి మీకు
ఏ రాజప్రాసాదాల్లోనో,
గోతిలోని పచ్చగడ్దిమీదో,
అంధకారమయమైన మీ ఒంటరి గదిలోనో
మీ మత్తు దిగిపోయో, ఎగిరిపోయో
పొరపాటున స్పృహ వస్తే
గాలినో
కెరటాన్నో
నక్షత్రాన్నో
పిట్టనో
గడియారాన్నో
ఏది నిత్యం పరిగెడుతూ ఉంటుందో
ఏది ఎప్పుడూ నిట్టూరుస్తుంటుందో
పొర్లుతూంటుందో
పాడుతూ ఉంటుందో
మాటాడుతూ ఉంటుందో దాన్ని అడగండి:
“సమయం ఎంతయింది?” అని
అప్పుడు ఆ గాలి
ఆ కెరటం
ఆ నక్షత్రం
ఆ పిట్ట
ఆ గడియారం
సమాధానమిస్తాయి:
“తాగే సమయం ఆసన్నమయింది,
కాలానికి బానిసగా జీవితం ధారపోయకు,
హాయిగా తాగు!
తాగి ఆ మత్తులోనే ఉండు
మదిరో, శీలమో, కవిత్వమో, ఏదో ఒకటి.” అని.

In order not to feel

ask the wind,
the wave,
the star,
the bird,
the clock,
ask everything that flees,

will answer you:
“Time to get drunk!
