పచ్చిక పచ్చగా ఉండే
ఇక్కడ, ఈ పల్లె గర్భంలో
జీవితం ఎప్పటిలాగే
అంత హాయిగానూ ఉంటుంది.
దైవంపై నమ్మకం పచ్చిగానే ఉంది
ప్రాభాత ఘంటారావాలు
పాలుపోసుకుంటున్న కంకులపై
అతని తలపుతో తేలియాడుతున్నాయి.
భగవంతుడు వర్షమై వస్తాడు
పంటలు పుష్కలంగా పండుతాయి.
ఇదే పల్లియుల నమ్మకం
అన్ని విశ్వాసాలనూ మించినది.

Here in the country’s heart

Life is the same sweet life
As it e’er hath been.
Trust in a God still lives,
And the bell at morn
Floats with a thought of God
O’er the rising corn.
God comes down in the rain,
And the crop grows tall—
This is the country faith,
And the best of all!
