రౌద్ర సంహర్త తను చంపుతున్నాననుకున్నా
హతుడు తను సంహరించబడుతున్నాననుకున్నా,
వాళ్ళకి నేను ఎంత చతుర మార్గాలలో
స్థితి, లయ, పునస్సృష్టి చేస్తానో తెలీదు.

నాకు ప్రియమైన వారిని మరువను, దూరం చెయ్యను
నాకు ఎండ అయినా, నీడ అయినా ఒక్కటే,
మాయమైన దేవతలు నాకు తిరిగి కనిపిస్తారు
నాకు కీర్తి అయినా అపకీర్తి అయినా ఒక్కటే.

నన్ను విడిచిపెట్టువారు, కష్టాలు పడతారు
నాతో విహరించేవారికి, నేను రెక్కలనౌతాను;
సంశయమూ నేనే, సంశయాత్మకుడినీ నేనే
బ్రాహ్మణుడు అనుష్ఠించే రుక్కునీ నేనే

అంతశక్తిమంతులైన దేవతలూ నా టెంకికై వగచుతారు,
సప్త ఋషులు పాపం నిష్ఫలంగా కృశిస్తున్నారు
మంచిని ప్రేమించే ఓ సాత్వికుడా! నువ్వు
స్వర్గానికి వెన్ను చూపి, నను చిత్తగించు.
