A Temple on the Shores of Mahabalipuram … V. Chinaveerabhadrudu, Telugu, Indian
Somebody left a poem sculpted behind
On the listless canvas of marine canopy.
Like intention infused in language
Word by word, he set stone over stone.
Countless people every evening
Flock around the place;
The poem continues to echo
But who cares to understand that?
You witness few shells
Horses for pleasure-ride
Swimmers
Valentines a-swimming
A petrified poet
And his poem….
Thawing and ceaselessly flowing.
I too visited the place
One evening.
The fragrance of the poem
Shall not leave me for life.
