లక్ష్యాలూ కలిసే పెద్ద కూడలిని కలిసేదాకా.

J R R Tolkien కీర్తిప్రతిష్టలు అతని ఫాంటసీ నవలలు The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion కారణంగా వచ్చేయి. 28 మార్చి 1972లో ఎలిజబెత్ II మహరాణి అతనికి కమాండరర్ ఆఫ్ ద ఆర్డర్ ఆఫ్ బ్రిటిష్ ఎంపైర్ (CBE) ఇచ్చి సత్కరించింది.
మనిషి జీవితాన్ని ఒక ప్రయాణంతో పోలుస్తూ, అదొక అంతంలేని ప్రయాణమనీ, ఒకదాని తర్వాత ఒకటిగా మనలక్ష్యాలను వెతుక్కుంటూ, ఒక్కోసారి ఎక్కడికి వెళతామో తెలియకుండా జీవితం సాగిపోతుందని చెపుతున్నాడు కవి.
