1 I came walking over the night but could not collect a fistful of darkness! The dreams beneath the eyes swimming in tears could not make a legend. 2 Sitting in each grapheme I converse with the rest. For, each word is a confession-box. I put down my own episodes here. 3 Like the empty bottles rolling down these memories trudge along encasing emptiness … some never get interred, while some others get hazy like letters on a dampened paper … 4 Some enigmatic relations restrain emotions like the weight on a paper. Passion had long evaporated! When shall the distinction between wetting and moistening be clear? 5 The howling in the air that the interred had no friends shall not reach the other ear. No boulder of the Pyramids can either fill the hollowness of life or block my view. But then, what is it that I attempt to see, after all! 6 Borrowed intellect shall not fit like the misfitting borrowed garments it looks so odd… so unnatural. 7 That all-pervading vacuum does not spare even this confession box… Doesn’t Life script its own screen play? . Mr. Srinivas Vasudev holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Andhra University, Waltair, Andhra Pradesh, India. He is also a graduate in journalism from the same University. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Ministry Of Education of Brunei, Darussalam since 2003. He had earlier worked for Ministry of Education in Oman and as Senior Lecturer in English for about 2 years for the University of London in Singapore before moving to Brunei. Some of his works are on the anvil.

Confessions రాత్రిపై నుంచి నడిచొచ్చానా గుప్పెడంత చీకటినీ తెచ్చుకోలేకపోయాను ! కళ్ళకింద కలలన్నీ కన్నీళ్ళలో కదులుతూ కథలుగా మారలేకపోయాయి 2. ఓ అక్షరంలో కూర్చుని మరొకదాంతో చెప్పుకుంటూ ఉంటాను ప్రతీపదం ఓ కన్ఫెషన్ బాక్స్ మరి … నా కథల్ని నేనే రాసుకుంటానిక్కడ 3. దొర్లుకొస్తున్న ఖాళీ సీసాల్లా కొన్ని జ్ఞాపకాలు ఖాళీలకి ఫ్రేముకట్టి మరీ మోస్తాయి .. సమాధికాబడని జ్ఞాపకాలు కొన్ని ! తడిసిన కాగితంలోని అలుక్కుపోయిన అక్షరాల్లా ఈ జ్ఞాపకాలు …. 4. అర్ధంకాని బంధాలేవో పేపర్ వెయిట్ లా జీవితావేశాన్ని అదిమిపెడుతుంటాయి తేమకీ , తడికీ తేడాతెల్సెదెప్పుడు ఆర్ద్రతెప్పుడో ఆవిరై ఆరిపోయిందిలె 5. సమాధిలో శవానికి మిత్రుల్లేరన్న ‘ గాలి ‘ ఊళల్లోని మాటలు కొన్ని చెవిదాటిపోవు అవును పిరమిడ్లలోని రాళ్ళేవీ జీవితతంలోని డొల్లతనాన్నీ నింపలేవు నా దృష్టినీ అడ్డుపెట్టలేవు అయినా ఏం చూస్తున్నానని ? 6. అరువుతెచ్చుకున్న మేధోతనమేదీ నిలబడదు చిన్న ఒంటికి పెద్ద అంగీలా అసహజంగా , అసమానంగా …. 7. విస్తరించుకుంటున్న శూన్యత ఆఖరికి ఈ పాపనివేదన గదిలోనూ … జీవితం దాని కథల స్క్రీన్ ప్లే అది రాసుకుంటుందికదా . వాసుదేవ్
