I did not realize it when infatuation for words seized me amidst incense clouds of experience
.
Nor did it strike me when the whirling stream of charged words emitted streaks of lightning
.
So was the state when mind wandered in every direction breaking through concrete structures.
.
What a distress it is to a soulless body!
Will it glean pearls while returning? or hang its head in exhaustion?
.
Well, If it turns up with pearls… fine. For, it clothes clouds in a fine Raga and conjures them up to rain that she might sign off boats of pleasure with dreams
.
Only when it comes home drained out that life convulses for breath
Whose autobiography it listens way back home! What wakes of old-age it walks down its journey! Which ‘tear-dried’ childish cheek it caresses along!
.
Long after Earth and Heaven Air, Water and Fire come together to distract does it care to look at me afresh…as if it has all begun anew!
