అమెరికను కవి, విద్యావేత్త. అతని ప్రముఖరచనలు: “Paul Revere’s Ride”, The Song of Hiawatha, and Evangeline. డాంటే Divine Comedy ని  అనువాదం చేసిన తొలి అమెరికను. Fireside Poets గా ప్రసిధ్ధులైన వారిలో లాంగ్ ఫెలో ఒకరు. Voices of the Night (1839) and Ballads and Other Poems (1841) అన్న కవితా సంకలనాలు వెలువరించారు.

HW Longfellow

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (February 27, 1807 – March 24, 1882) was an American poet and educator whose works include “Paul Revere’s Ride”, The Song of Hiawatha, and Evangeline. He was also the first American to translate Dante Alighieri’s The Divine Comedy and was one of the five Fireside Poets.They got that name as they wrote their poems not for fellow poets but for common people in rhyme and rhythm in standard form and meter so that people can easily remember and sing in the evenings by the Fireside. Longfellow also brought out two Poetry collections: Voices of the Night (1839) and Ballads and Other Poems (1841).
