Attuning it, I held Veena

To render songs dedicated you,

But,  Oh me! What to speak when even

Hand gets choked,  just as the throat!

.

There is eagerness to  somehow fly

And land at your feet;  but strangely,

This body is denied what the mind is blessed:

That pair of wings within the reach of Sadhyas.

Note: Sadhyas are a class of Demigods

శృతులు సరిజేసి యుష్మదంకితములైన

కృతులు పాడగ వీణ పట్టితినిగాని

కటకటా ఏమి చెప్పుదు, కంఠమునకె

గాక హస్తమునకును గాద్గద్య మొదవె!

ఎగిరి నీ పాదములచెంతకెట్లొ వచ్చి

వ్రాలుదునొ యన్న యుత్సుకత్వమ్ము గలదు

సాధ్యసాధనమైన పక్షములజంట

హృదయమునకుండి లేదు శరీరమునకు;
