సరోవరాలకు నిలయమైన ఉదయపూర్ లో 

నే నోరోజు గాలి తోడుగా వ్యాహ్యాళికి బయలుదేరాను.

అంతలో ఎవరో చెవిలో ఊదినట్టు

ఒక పాట నా మదిలో మెదిలింది.

కాని ఆ స్వరం ఇక్కడ నే చూసిన

ఏ మానవమాత్రుడిదీ కాదు,

గాలిలాగే, మనిషికూడా అగోచరం.

కొండలకు నెలవైన తిరుపతిలో,

పర్వతారోహణ చేస్తూ శిఖరాగ్రం చేరుకునేటప్పటికి

దుముకుతూ గెంతివస్తున్న సెలయేరొకటి కనిపించింది

సంతోషం పట్టలేక ఆనందంతో కేకలేస్తూ.

నేను శిఖరం నుండి క్రిందికి మైదానం వంకా,

నీటిపాయల వంకా చూసేను.

నన్ను కొండ అంచున కలిసిన సెలయేటికంటే

నేనే ఆనందంగా ఉన్నాను.

లక్కదీవులలో సముద్రం మీద తెరచాపనెత్తి నే పోతుంటే

గాలిఊదిన మాట, సెలయేటి మాట, ఈ కెరటాల మాట

నాకు స్పష్టం అయ్యేయి.

“మనమెలాగున్నామో తను అలా లేనప్పటికీ

మనమెలాగున్నామో, తనూ అలాగే ఉంటాడు..

అనిలాన్ని శాశించగల బలవంతుడున్నాడా?

సింధువుని బంధించగల సేతువులు ఉన్నయా?
